Please help me to support Connect by sponsoring me to complete one of my greatest fundraising challenges so far.  In honour of my 60 year and Connect’s 10 anniversary, I will be attempting the Kokoda Trail in .  This is an arduous 96km trek across the Owen Stanley Range, crossing rivers and scaling muddy inclines as it snakes its way through a humid tropical rain forest.

Connect is a charity that I have been supporting for the last 10 years since a close friend of mine, Robert Thorling, had a stroke and got aphasia. If you have the time, please watch the short video on this page to learn a bit more about Connect and how they have helped Robert.

Every eleven minutes in the three people will have a stroke. One of them will lose the ability to communicate. This is called aphasia. It can happen to anyone of us at any time and in an instant can destroy lives.  Connect’s work has led to the culmination of a ground-breaking new programme of support called ‘Access to Life’ which has had remarkable life changing and life saving results.
