<p><span style="font-family: Times New Roman;"><span style="font-size: 9pt; color: black; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.5pt;">Peter Estlin, GRB Chief Finance Office, and I are participating in a ‘charity kidnapping’ in support of the inspiring work of the <span style="color: #00ccff;"><a title="Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)" href="http://www.rnli.org.uk/" target="_blank">Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)</a>. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></span>
<p><span style="font-size: 9pt; color: black; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.5pt;">We’re being held hostage on one of the RNLI lifeboats on the river nearby to One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Please support me achieve my fundraising target of </span><span style="font-size: 9pt; color: #1c1c1c; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.5pt;"><span style="color: #000000;">£10,000 so that I can be released from the boat. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>All I have to help me reach my target is my phone, my contacts, and this webpage – please help!</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 9pt; color: #1c1c1c; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.5pt;">All funds I raise will be donated to the RNLI – an independent charity that has saved more than 139.000 lives at sea since their foundation in 1824.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>They provide 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue services around the coasts of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 9pt; color: #1c1c1c; font-family: Verdana; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.5pt;">The money we raise as part of this ‘Boss in Boat’ event are part of the <span style="color: #00ccff;"><a title="BRAWN Lifeboat Challenge" href="http://www.rnli.org.uk/how_to_support_us/other_ways_to_support/at_work/brawn%20challenge/" target="_blank">BRAWN Lifeboat Challenge</a></span> – an eight month challenge to raise funds for the RNLI. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Our Barclays team is competing against other corporations to raise funds to buy a new lifeboat for the river Thames in London.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Our overall Barclays target fundraising sum is £200,000.</span></p>
