Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  Now as you can see this brother sister team are together on our fundraising for this fantastic cause, however those of you who know us well will know that on the day...its every Haxon for themself and the glory and the gloating will go to whoever crosses that line first!

 

 Every year, it is estimated that 150,000 people in the UK will have a stroke.  Thats one person every 5 minutes.  Most people who are affected are over 65, but anyone of any age can have a stroke.

A stroke is the 3rd most common cause of death in the UK and it is the single most common cause of severe disability.  More than 250,000 people in the UK live with disabilities caused by a stroke.

The main focus of The Stroke Association is give to support to people who have had a stroke and their families, to fund research into stroke prevention and campaign to raise awearness of strokes.
