In September 2013, I was diagnosed through A&E like many of us, having made numerous trips to my GP. Major surgery followed with a gruelling time of chemotherapy. This year I discovered I have the BRCA2 gene. 8 weeks ago I had a bilateral mastectomy. The pathology results were that I already had pre-cancerous tissue, so job well done. This has further implications for my family. I could not have faced all this without my lovely family and group of amazing friends.  Ovacome has supported me through this journey with facts, emotional support, plus a great way to meet up with others on a similar journey. Please support me even with the smallest of donations, to continue the work of Ovacome, in order to help others like me, and the development of further  research.
