I just wanted to say thankyou very much to those of you for whom I don't have an email address. I survived the run with just a few creaks in the knees and hope the money raised will help to keep all our residents warm and comfortable over the coming winter months.

After raising money for Eden Animal Rescue doing the Great North Run in 2007, a nagging voice started in my head saying…. "All well and good, but bet you can’t keep the running up." I felt obliged to prove it wrong and kept running. So it changed tack…. "Ahh yes, but bet you couldn’t manage a half marathon again". So here I am, just a short time away from a second go – the Great Cumbrian Run on October 25^th.

I would really like to raise funds for  Eden Animal Rescue and hope you are able to help. The rescue centre at Hardendale has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years. Existing pens have been spruced up and new area’s added…. including a kitten reception, old cats lounge, an isolation pen and a myriad of small animal hutches. The dog’s have a smart new roof and most recently we have acquired an animal transportation van. All of this helps us provide the best possible care for the animals while they are with us.
