Cambodia Community Challenge · 6 October 2018
In October 2018 l will be part of a 40 volunteer team from Santander travelling to Cambodia to take part in a charity challenge of a lifetime, to build a school in Siem Reap.
Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia. There is limited education in rural areas this limited access does not only affect the quality of education but also healthcare, economic and community development. Rapid population growth exacerbates the problem. The reduction of poverty throughout a community starts with education which benefits everyone from the young to the elderly. Everyone deserves the basic right to an education, things we take for granted here in Britain. That is why l will be living and working in their community to help the Cambodian children achieve this challenge.
The great news is that Santander are funding this trip so every penny l raise will go directly to the Age UK and Barnardo's charities who look after some of the most vulnerable people in our own local communities.
Also for every £1 l raise Santander will double this meaning if l reach my £2,000 goal it will be £4,000! Every penny counts so please help me to help others. Any donation is much appreciated x
