Air Ambulance Double 100 Cycle Challenge 2014 · 28 September 2014 ·

We’re your local air ambulance charity. We hope you never need us, but every year thousands of people do. And if you do, we’ll be there to fight for your life.

Story

In 2007 spurred on by watching year after year of the Tour de France on TV whilst sat on the sofa drinking beer and eating crisps whilst saying "I could do that", I decided to buy a sleek looking race bike. After a few rides out on the road I was terrified by the whole experience not to mention nursing aching body parts due to quite frankly ill-designed race saddles and potholes.

My bike then spent some lonely years in the garage until last year when a very good friend helped to get my road riding confidence back and a big wide gel-filled double sprung saddle helped to inflict less internal injuries, I began to ride again.

Since then I have reached the dizzy heights of just over 40km riding and this is a great opportunity for me to challenge this by breaking the 100km barrier with my fellow Fidelity colleagues.

In doing so we will all  be helping to raise funds for Air Ambulance a charity which literally saves lives and to be honest may well be saving mine on Sunday 28th September if things don't go according to plan!

So please sponsor me, anonymously if you wish and no amount is too small..........well I'm worth at least a quid I reckon.

Plus you can also pay with PayPal so even if you're broke, you can flog something on eBay like some of the kids Lego or that old Evil Kneivel wind-up race bike (Yeah I had one too and wished I'd kept it now!) and sponsor me using some of the proceeds.

In the words of Mrs Doyle from Father Ted........."Go on.......go on.........ahhhh go on" Sponsor me, please :-)

Thanks
Dean
