Story

Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  For those of you whom I haven't told yet (and given the pain training has been that's probably not many of you) I have stupidly signed up to run the Robin Hood half Marathon this weekend!! In typical style i've forgotten about actually getting sponsorship until the last minute but I would really appreciate your help and support in raising money for the Treetops Hospice which ius the charity I have selected to run for.  This is a very worthwhile charity that provides specialist palliative care to adults with life limiting illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, end stage heart disease, respratory conditions etc.  For more information on Treetops Hospice you can visit their website at www.treetopshospice.org.uk.

Anyway, back to me!! The training I have done for this has been very tough.  Those of you who know me will know that I am certainly not built to be a natural runner (Yes I know i've phrased that very politely but I'm going to be sending this to family!!) but I have plodded on and hopefully (my body willing) will run 13 miles on Sunday the 12th September.  Many thanks for taking the time to read my waffling and I hope you will join me in raising as much as we can for this very good cause.

Thanks,

Dean
