The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

In early June this year Greg Rapone and I signed up with fervour for the Colleague and Community initiative "Barclays Wheels for Change 2017"  taking place on 8th September 2017 in support of the Prince's Trust.

Unlike the challenge and glory of La Marmotte, our route will be somewhat gentler and well marshalled with full back-up support. The ride will take us from the glorious September sunshine of the London Olympic Velodrome, covering approximately 100km around the wilds of Essex arriving slightly saddle sore and thirsty back at the Velodrome (hopefully in as short a time as possible).

Should mother-nature decide to turn things murky for us on the day, then we feel this gamble alone deserves your support for our fundraising efforts.

Anything you are prepared to give will be much appreciated and matched by Barclays.

Wheels for Change is an annual fundraising cycling challenge, led by Barclays colleagues to raise money for this incredibly well deserving charity.

The Prince's Trust, one of Barclays' UK charity partners, helps young people to develop key skills, confidence and motivation to move into employment, education or training through programmes that provide practical and financial support. At Barclays we want to help the next generation achieve their ambitions. Our 5 Million Young Futures goal is our commitment to do this and by working with organisations like The Prince's Trust we are able to support the next generation, helping them to build stronger futures for themselves and their families.
