Special Kids In The UK......

........ is a national UK charity offering friendship and support to families who have a child with special needs.

The Marvelous Memory Making Machines will be fully adapted static caravans enabling families to take a much-needed break in an environment close to the adapted one they rely on at home.

It might surprise you just how many facilities these caravans will require to provide a truly adapted holiday. Lifting hoists, wheelchair accessibility, special posture beds, posture seating, fully fitted wet room, changing table, sensory lighting and a room to relax in away from the daily noise of a modern family. All of the above are daily necessities to make sure the caravans can accommodate ANY special need.

There are very few of these facilities available and given the very nature of caring for a child with a special need where parents give up work to care for their child, there is usually not enough of an income in the household to allow the luxury of a holiday.

That’s where Special Kids In The UK and YOU can help make a real difference.

The project is in memory of a little girl named Lucy-Mai who passed away in her sleep aged 2. Lucy-Mai was supported by Special Kids In The Uk and her family has helped fundraise for Special Kids in the 6 years since she passed away.
