London to Paris Cycle 2018 · 13 September 2018 to 16 September 2018 ·

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

All of us have been touched by cancer of some description . . . we've had far too many loved ones face Blood cancer - my Dad was one.

Since his passing, Mum has had held garden parties every year for 10 years and raised over £10000 - a mammoth effort! When these stopped (they were an IMMENSE amount of work), we decided to fund raise a different way.

In 2016 a small party of four (Dean, Wayne, Rhonda, and Stuart) completed their first London to Paris ride and the experience was hugely humbling, emotional and challenging. "Never again!" we said . . . until 2017 when the Fabulous Four became the Magnificent Seven and we did it all again.  Roll 2018 and we're back on the road again to Paris!

Blood cancer continues to do devastating things to people we love and, after a large amount of wine, we thought, "let's do it again". This year we will become the "Ageless (Ageing?) Eight" with a not to be sneezed at, antipodean representation, cycling to raise money for this hugely worthwhile cause.

ALL the money you donate goes to Bloodwise. Participants personally pay for the ride itself. So much we know about cancer has been due to Bloodwise and in supporting them, you'll be helping all those with any type of cancer.

Not only that, you might just help us beat the £10,000 family record set by Mum!
