<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%;">The Mary Ann Evans Hospice is an independent Hospice established over 20 years ago to provide Day Care and Hospice at Home to local people in Nuneaton, Bedworth, Atherstone and North Warwickshire.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">The Hospice philosophy is to enhance the quality of life to patients who are living with life limiting illnesses by offering physical, social, emotional and spiritual support.<span>&nbsp; </span>The Day Hospice is open 5 days a week for patients to enjoy a happy informal environment that offers a wide range of specialist services, support and comfort.<span>&nbsp; </span>The dedicated team consists of Nurses, a Doctor, Care Assistants, Lymphoedema Nurse, Chaplain, Cook, Activities Organiser, all supported by a team of volunteers.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">Hospice care extends out into the wider community and is provided by the Hospice at Home Team whose care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week giving respite support and end of life care to patients and their families.</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;">The Mary Ann Evans Hospice only receives 25% government funding the shortfall in funding amounts to &pound;1,200 every day.<span>&nbsp; </span>If you can help in any way please be assured your donation will make a difference and guarantee the future of local Hospice care.</p>
