The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

In 2014 my little girl was diagnosed with Alopecia.  Initially this meant that Martha developed some bald patches however, her hair did eventually grow back.

Then in October 2015 we noticed that her condition had returned.  This time the hair loss was much worse and very quickly it progressed to become very difficult for Martha to hide, even with her now well developed skills in hairdressing!

Like most 10 year old girls, Martha loves wearing make up, playing with her friends and can always be heard singing happily at home, in school and at parties.  She is an extremely loving little girl who suffers from a number of anxieties that are not helped by the added complication of losing her hair.

After meeting with Rebecca from Morgan's Hair & Beauty in Prestatyn she was able to put me in touch with the The Little Princess Trust who have today confirmed that they will be able to provide us with a real hair wig for Martha.

This is very important for a young girl preparing for High School and the challenges that adolescence can bring.

So as her mum I thought 'What can I do to help?' So I am going to run the Chester half marathon for my gorgeous little girl to show her how special she is and how all our family and friends will support us.

So if you can think of any way to raise money or by just sponsoring me to help Martha and raise awareness of alopecia then follow the details on this page.
