Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Many of you will be well aware of my history and know that I was diagnosed with cervical cancer back in 1998. Last year saw me have quite a scare when doctors thought I may have kidney cancer, but what they found was benign and in fact related to my ovaries that they left behind in my original treatment. To cut a long story short it was the best news I could have hoped for. On my return to school in Sept my fantastic colleagues in the PE department at Taverham High School suggested that we enter the Norfolk 100/50 as a team. Originally it was the 50 we were entering, but then everyone got a bit competitive and wanted a bigger challenge! Now we are beginning to recognise the scale of the task we have set ourselves!!
I decided to support Cancer Research as my charity as it is a charity close to my heart since my diagnosis and also since my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. One day I believe it will be possible to cure cancer and your donation will be a step in the right direction.
