My daughter, Hannah, has type 1 diabetes, and has recently spent three weeks in hospital (six days in intensive care).   She was admitted in a very poorly condition with DKA. after being found collapsed on the floor in her flat.  She has made a good recovery, but is very lucky to have been found when she was, or the outcome could have been very different. 

Money raised will go towards Research into a Type 1 vaccine - by providing funding for three years to support research into a vaccine, ensuring that children never develop the condition in the first place.
