The UCL Cancer Institute Research Trust exists to support the work of the UCL Cancer Institute. We aim to improve the quality of life and survival of those with cancer, and to develop a generation of new, more effective targeted and individualised treatments.

Story

One stupid moment has resulted in 5 people agreeing to climb the 3 largest mountain peaks in the U.K. within 24 hours - namely Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike & Snowdon.

To this end Allen Fyfe, Dave Callicott, Ilan Shaw, Keith Watson & Mike Riordan - ably supported by the driving team of Glyn James & Peter Lloyd - are requesting your help.

The team are hastily training for this test of endurance and to help us through this difficult time would appreciate if you could support us in any financial way - as you can see we've been set a target of £5000, which we plan to donate to the Debby Fund (see here http://www.debbiefund.org/Future_Fund-raising/Debbie_Fund_Three_Peaks_Challenge.aspx

We are very proud to be raising money for such a worthy cause. The Debbie Fund, part of the University College London Cancer Research Trust, was set up in memory of Debbie Phillips, who died of cervical cancer on 11 February 2010. During the progession of her disease, it became apparent that there was no dedicated research into drug treatment specifically for cervical cancer. A group of Debbie's family and friends came together to raise funds to ensure that the necessary research can be carried out at UCL, and the team became aware of this excellent fund through one of our family members. So far, the Debbie Fund has raised almost £500,000.00 and we want to help them continue in their work so please donate as much as you can for a very worthy cause (a donation of at least £10 each will see us achieve our goal).

Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the Debbie Fund. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the fund, faster, with JustGiving.

So please dig deep and help us and the Debbie Fund. Cheers.
