Story
Debbie Florence (PR and Fundraising Coordinator), Lorna Hayes (Community First Responder Manager) and Natalie Norman (Emergency Medical Team Manager) want to lose over a stone each so from 4 May 2010 will be taking part in the Magpas office slim. They will be having a weekly weigh in, aim to twice weekly participate in the Davina work out and a NO CRISP policy! Please help show your support by not feeding but sponsoring them!
We hope to have shed the pounds by August 20th - this may seem along way off but at least then its a realistic aim.
You can either sponsor us per pound or a total, we are hoping to lose 47lb between us!
Magpas operates two lifesaving schemes – The Emergency Medical Team (EMT) is made up of expertly trained doctors and paramedics who deliver Emergency and Critical Care Interventions to patients at the scene of very serious medical emergencies. It is Magpas’ close working partnership with the EAAA, the East of England Ambulance Service Trust and Cambridgeshire Police Air Operations Unit, that Magpas are able to deliver such a rapid and coordinated response to anywhere in the East of England. Magpas with Cambridgeshire Constabulary operates the only Civil Aviation Authority approved night HEMS service with Doctors in the UK. All of the Magpas doctors and paramedics have to complete and intensive course which has been specifically designed by Magpas to ensure the team members are thoroughly prepared for every potential scenario. The course is just one of the reasons why Magpas is considered to be the leading provider in region-wide emergency medical treatment in the UK. The Community First Responder Scheme trains and equips volunteer members of the public so they are able to respond quickly and effectively to local emergencies, like heart attacks and patients who are choking. Magpas is solely reliant on the kind donations it receives from members of the public— Please support the charity and help keep these vital services going.
