Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page & donating to this worthy cause!

Having been involved with Camp Simcha for over 4 years now, I have been privy to the exceptional & wonderful charity that it is. Enhancing the lives of children with serious illness, and their families. I have taken children on trips, weekend retreats and even just chilling with them & I have seen the support, care & love that goes into EVERY family member affected. I get uplifted and inspired by the thoughtfulness of this charity every time I have been involved.

Please join me in reaching my goal and giving to this awesome cause!!!

Here's what we will be doing on our trek!

Day 4

Start the journey by visiting Death Valley, the hottest, driest National Park in the USA. Trail through Dantes View with panoramic, otherworldly scenes of Devil’s Golf Course salt flats. Climb up to Coffin Peak and down to Badwater Basin the lowest point in North America.

In the evening, sleep in canvas tents at our base camp, Half Dome Village.

DISTANCE: 9.6km (6miles)

Day 5

A challenging ascent, the equivalent of climbing more than two Empire State Buildings (BIG DONATION PLEASE!) to the top of Upper Yosemite Falls (739m). Experience the phenomenal views of the waterfall and park below. Changing pace in the afternoon, we visit El Capitan Meadow and trek the valley floor.

DISTANCE: 12km (7.6miles)

Day 6

Fuel up for a strenuous hike to Vernal Falls via the Mist Trail, feel the spray as we pass three

cascading waterfalls and a series of pristine natural pools. Disappearing into the woods, we arrive at a sheer granite shelf above the roaring Nevada Falls, where we will stop for lunch and return to the village in the late afternoon.

DISTANCE: Choose 4.8km or 11km (3 or 7 miles)

Day 7

Our final trek will be to tackle the perfectly named, Inspiration Point. Head off the beaten track on a short, but steep uphill hike, promising incredible and historical views.

DISTANCE: 4.2km (2.6miles)

Every donation is greatly appreciated- get involved!
