Story

Thank you for your interest in our wedding. This is a really special occasion for us, and we feel very lucky and blessed to share it with friends and family from all around the world. We believe it will be an amazing experience for all of you who can join us in Hong Kong in November. Our thoughts and love goes out to all of you who cannot (especially those with babies, and babies on the way).

To make our special event even more memorable we have decided to something very special with our wedding donations. Rather than setting up a traditional gift-list (yawn...) we've decided to pass on all donations to Rainforest Concern.

Our collective donations will be used to purchase rainforest land to create forest 'corridors' in Ecuador via the Chocó Andean Corridor Project. These corridors connect existing reserves and greatly enhance their effectiveness by enabling species to move freely from one to another. The Tropical Andes is recognised as the richest and most biodiverse region on earth.

Each donation of £50 will sponsor 1 acre of rainforest. If we can reach our target of £1,000 we will sponsor 20 acres or 8 hectares of rainforest, which will be a wonderful achievement. :D

Rainforest Concern has been working to develop the Chocó Andean Corridor Project, in northwest Ecuador, since 1993. The southern phase of the corridor is located at the confluence of two of the world’s biological ‘hotspots’: the Chocó-Darien and Tropical Andes. The idea is to create habitat connectivity that aids species survival by linking the last unprotected forests between the Maquipucuna, Mindo y Pululahua reserves to the Cotacachi Cayapas Ecological Reserve and following north to the Awa Reserve in the province of Esmeraldas.

We are very excited to support this charity, and thank you for your generosity.

love Robin & Debs xx
