Imagine being told that you, or someone you love, is losing their sight. In that moment, two profound questions demand urgent answers: Can this be stopped? How will I live my life? We fund the brilliant minds and bright ideas, putting change in sight for everyone impacted by vision loss.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I have decided to take upon a tandem skydive challenge to celebrate my 50th birthday in April 2015.  As it is also Fight for Sight's 50th anniversary I have decided to ask 49 others to join me!

I have been raising funds for Fight for Sight for 20 years now as they are the number one eye research charity in the UK.   This is vital work and we all hope to have a world where everyone can see.

I set myself a challenge to help raise 20K during 2014 in commemeration of the Warwickshire Committee of which I am Chairman, running a golf day for 20 years.  Please to say we exceed that and raised 28K.   I organised various different and am grateful for the support we had.  Guess what I am here again and what better way to celebrate my birthday but to do something I have wanted to do in the skydive and raise more money for my charity at the same time!

Tose of you who don't know me , I have Usher Syndrome which started with a hearing deficiency from early age and I wear 2 digital hearing aids but also we found out later that Retinitis Pigmentosa occurs in the teenage years.  RP as it is known, in layman's terms,  is tunnel vision and night blindness so it is a good job we will be skydiving in the daylight mind you at night would have been a spectacle lol   (oops excuse the pun!!)
