Deep's Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge

Yorkshire 3 peaks · 26 July 2014
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The majority of you will know that our youngest son Kishan, who will be 3 this September, was born with a cleft lip and palate.
In order to support CLAPA for their invaluable support leading up to his birth and during his two operations to repair his lip and palate, last July I cycled from London to Cambridge to raise money for CLAPA. Thanks to your support I raised an absolutely phenomenal £2000. The link below will take you to the CLAPA news page, which published a story about the ride: http://www.clapa.com/news/article/1689/
So, in order to help CLAPA to continue supporting families in a similar position, this year (well it was more like last week) I thought it would be a good idea to rock up to Yorkshire on 26th July and do the 3 peaks challenge with my two friends Mark and Ray.
As the name
suggests, this involves trekking across the 3 peaks (I think the technical term
is mountains) in Yorkshire. The 25 miles usually takes approximately 10-12
hours and involves climbing a total of 1600m. Naturally being the avid trekkers
that we are (uh hum) we will be aiming to complete the challenge in 9 hours,
well it just seemed like a nice number and plus it will give Mark and Ray a
chance to keep up with me.
For more information about CLAPA and the great work they do, please visit their site at http://www.clapa.com to find out more.
Please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you,
Deep & Anita
