Working Families is the leading UK charity dedicated to building a future where everyone has the opportunity to find a balance between work and family life. We do this through our free legal advice line, our employer support and training services and our highly effective campaigning and research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit one of our two JustGiving pages to mark our Silver Wedding Anniversary and 50th Birthdays.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to our chosen charities and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

By using this page you will be supporting Working Families; a campaigning charity which also provides practical advice. Their overall aim is to help children, working parents and carers and their employers find a better balance between responsibilities at home and work. Just to give a few examples of their work:

  • - Working Families’ helpline for low income families gives advice on employment rights, Tax Credits and benefits.

  • - Working Families runs 'Waving not drowning' - a network and information resource for parents of disabled children and for    professionals who work with them. Paid employment outside the home can be enormously important to parents of a disabled child, both for the economic well-being and future life-chances of the whole family and for the parent's own self-esteem.

  • - The First Time Families project aims to provide advice and support to working people on low incomes about time and money choices when starting a family.

You may instead want to support our other chosen charity, the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MSRC), and can do this by donating through our alternative page http://www.justgiving.com/Rob-And-Deirdre-Anderson

Thank you; your support is greatly appreciated,

Rob & Deirdre Anderson
