We are a community of patients, survivors, volunteers, supporters, health and social care professionals and researchers. Together we are transforming the experiences and outcomes of people affected by cancer through our advocacy, support services and research.

Story

On the 10th December I will be taking part in a fitness challenge in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Cancer is something that has affected almost every family I know including my own. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2014 and his brother Noel was also diagnosed with cancer not so long after this. My dad's treatment was a success but his brother's was not. Sadly Noel lost his battle with cancer last September and since then another of my dad's brothers has now also been diagnosed with prostate cancer. I am doing this challenge in memory of my uncle and to help the Irish Cancer Society to continue to support those affected by cancer through their research in finding new treatments and cures for cancer.

For the challenge I am aiming to complete 400 sit-ups, 400 air squats and 150 full burpees within 30 minutes.
