<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>At 3 weeks old we were given the devastating news that our daughter, Ava had Complete AVSD and would need major heart surgery before she was 6 months old.</p> <p>Ava underwent major heart reconstruction at The Freemans Hospital, Newcastle, at just 14 weeks old.&nbsp; Without their expertise and fantastic care our little girl would not have survived.&nbsp; Ava's heart will need monitoring for the rest of her life.</p> <p>Whilst at the hospital, it opened our eyes to how many families, are affected by heart conditions and we wanted to raise money to help and also to say a BIG Thankyou.</p> <p>We are holding a Race Night on 14th October in our local village.&nbsp; There will be 180 paying guests; part of the evening will include an auction and raffle.&nbsp; Already we have received generous prizes from local people and business to help raise much needed monies for CHUF.</p> <p>Another way of helping us to raise funds for CHUF&nbsp;is to make a donation via our Just Giving page.</p> <p>CHUF is a fantastic charity,&nbsp;raising extra funds for Research, Out Patients, Childrens Ward &amp; Paediatric Intensive Care, enabling Children Heart Unit to continue to provide a high standard of care.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
