This is to raise funds for the British Gas charity of the year ‘Make-a-Wish Foundation UK ’. Make a Wish Foundation UK exists to grant magical wishes for the 20,000 children and younger people in the UK living with life threatening illnesses. Any donations to this very worthwhile charity would be most welcome

This has been the toughest physical challenge I have ever undertaken. We trekked 10 hours day and night with some very tough climbing in high altitude, quite a combination! Unfortunately not all reached the summit however everybody tried so hard and it was tough so tough! We have the final 6 hour trek today and then reach a hotel and shower and possibly a beer!

The attached picture was taken at our camp at 14,000 feet. We are all ok but trekking is getting tougher as the altitude gets higher. Wednesday is the start of summit day and night so the biggest challenge is almost here. We need to reach 19,625 feet over the next 36 hours! The days are generally sunny, darkness is at 6.30pm and the nights are very cold!

Doing ok so far but bigger challenges lie ahead! It has been quite sunny but quite cold at night and now often above clouds so can be cold in day as well. We head for the summit Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Exciting times!!
