Story
Derek Williams died on Tuesday 6th September, at the age of 52, almost exactly a year after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Before he died, Derek was determined to raise £5000 for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund. Unfortunately, he never had the chance to do this, so we want to double his target and do it for him in the hope of improving the chances of others with the disease in the future.
Survival rates in the UK for people with pancreatic cancer are among the worst in the world with only 3% of those diagnosed in Britain surviving 5 years, and only 20% surviving a year. These statistics have not improved for 40 years, while in Australia and Canada the chances are doubled.
Please give generously and share this page with as many people as possible so that we can reach our target and make a real difference.
