Frontline Walk 2018 · 3 October 2018 to 14 October 2018 ·
I'm raising money for ABF The Soldiers' Charity who provide vital support to soldiers, veterans and their families in times of need. For Soldiers. For Life.
In October 2018 I will take part in the last of the five centennial Frontline Walks through the WW1 battlefields of the Somme and Flanders. I will be doing this walk along with my three sons, two of whom served in the British Army, and a group of military veterans. Combined, our team name is The Rugby Relics.
The walk starts at the massive Lochnagar Crater, an undergound mine exploded in La Boiselle on the Somme, on July 1st 1916 - the start of the battle of the somme. Over 3 days the walk will pass through many of the most famous battles of WW1, Beaumont Hamel, Paschendaele, Mametz Wood and ends at the Menin gate, in Ypres for the ceremony of the Last Post.
I have committed to raising £1,250 on behalf of the ABF The Soldiers Charity who do so much to help soldiers, veterans and their families.
Your support is kindly appreciated
