We provide a lifetime of support to the wider Army Family.

Story

Three friends from Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire running six marathons in six days in the Sahara Desert - supporting the fantastic work of ABF The Soldiers' Charity.

The Team:

Capt Henry Foster - Once fit, now slightly chubby, serving officer in the British Army.  Far too fond of red wine and pizza.  Dislikes heat, sand and physical exercise.

Cpl William Heneage - Tree surgeon, Army Reservist and British Military Fitness Instructor.  Qualified physical training instructor.  As such, far too fond of physical exercise, shouting and himself.

Tom Hounsfield - Farmer, entrepreneur and fitness event fanatic.  Enjoys combine harvesters and talking about running...a lot...Far too fond of marathons, which is lucky, I guess...

The Race: The Marathon des Sables is the world's toughest footrace - 156 miles, six days, carrying all your kit for a week in the Sahara Desert.  Temperatures of 50 degrees, blisters, dehydration and crippling chafage.  Sounds great...

The Charity: ABF The Soldiers' Charity offers a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their families.  It is there to sustain the British Army 'family' long after service and through the darkest of times.  It has been making a difference at critical points in people's lives since 1944.  Please help them continue this work through your sponsorship of the 'Desert Dambusters'.

If you would like to know more and enjoy a laugh at our misery, please donate and follow us on Facebook or send us your email.  We will be providing regular updates as we seek to complete this mammoth (and, no doubt, at times miserable) challenge of a lifetime!
