Being widowed puts you outside of your peer group.  The WAY Foundation brings together those in similar situations so they can share experiences and support each other.  This is also relevant for children who have lost a parent.  

The money raised through this event will solely be used for subsidising holidays for children who have lost a parent.  Bringing children together in this way allows them to mix with others who are experiencing the same feelings, emotions and challenges.  A surprising number of young widows are pregnant or have young children when their partner dies, and these children have no memory of the parent they have lost and learn of them only through photos and stories.  

Holidays and weekends away with other children in similar circumstances brings them back into a peer group.  Please donate generously to help The WAY Foundation continue to do this.
