Story

UPDATE DUE TO COVID19 - Of course, we have now had to postpone the walk but our plans are now to complete it around Yeovil from Sun 20th Sept over the five days - we want to get the miles you’ve so kindly sponsored done - We will tackle Hadrians Wall when we are able to be covid clear and can book b&b’s again x Di

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am in training to walk Hadrian’s Wall west coast to East coast on 11th May 2020 over 5 days in memory of my beautiful daughter Liana. It’s 84 miles (Lord help me) and all of travel, overnight stays etc, are being funded personally. All of your kind support will go directly to the charity.

I am walking the wall with my dear friend Jane Ward, who is embarking on this journey with me for her own personal reasons, and she continues to encourage me and insists we stop for tea breaks (that’s my kind of friend!).

We plan to walk approx 18m each day, depending on how rugged the landscape... We also plan to come back without having been helicopter rescued too! Weather depending if we come back as drowned rats, nonetheless, nothing will stop us!

It’s time for me to give back to the group that have supported me endlessly over the last five years, and who continue to reach out and support all parents with bereavement from the loss of a child, however young or old.

It really is the one place we can be, without worrying about saying the wrong thing, we laugh, we cry, we chat, we drink huge amounts of tea and eat biscuits (which always helps) and we welcome all bereaved parents with open arms. You are not alone x

Please help me to ensure this charity can continue its work, which also includes a 24hr telephone helpline. Run by a bereaved Mum Carol Crane, in Rosies memory always.
