My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you're probably already aware, Martin has needed a variety of liver related treatment over the last 4 and a half years. Much of that treatment has been recently developed - drugs and procedures that have only been available for the last few years, and without which he probably wouldn't still be around.
This all needs research, which organisations like the British Liver Trust help to fund. They also provide information and support on coping with liver disease, and advise how to live your life protecting and making the most of the liver function you have left.
Liver disease look set to affect many more people in the next few years - it's the one big disease that is on the increase in this country. The more money I can help to raise for the British Liver Trust now, the more likely it is that available treatments will become less gruelling in the future.
