Story

I'M BACK!!!!!

After setting myself a challenge to raise £4000 for 4 charities by walking 400 miles during the course of 2012 in the company of Large Outdoors I found myself barely able to move due to the ongoing problems with my back - taking my surgeons advice an abrupt end came to my challenge.  After many MRI Scans and ongoing treatment I'm back :-)

A challenge is not a challenge unless it tests your abilities and capabilites - so taking it easier I have returned to complete what I set out to do.  This will take me into 2013 but better late than NEVER!

Walks I completed in 2012 so far are:

9 miles - Goyt Valley & Shining Tor
13 miles - Glydr Fawr - just over 1000mtr and by far my scariest walk to date!!!!
11 miles - White Nancy & Bollington
11 miles - Chee Dales & Millers Dale
13 miles - Lathkill Dale & Nine Ladies Stones
26 miles - Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge
14 miles - Longstone Edge, Bakewell & Monsall Head

98 miles - just 302 to go!!!!

There are plenty of new walks for me to book and I will be experiencing many more mountains with the guys from Large Outdoors during the course of the 2013!

All for a good cause and each of the Charities I have chosen are all in need of your support.

I will be posting each of my walks as I complete them, keeping you up to date of my progress.

I have been to the most beautiful places, seen the most wonderful scenerey and made some lovely friends along the way.

Hope you enjoy my pictures, my journey and most of all watching me reach my target.

Thanks for taking the time to read and many more thanks for helping me.

"Your support is appreciated and I send a huge hug to you all"!

I have chosen Peak District Mountain Rescue as they provide an essential service not only to walkers and climbers but also to the local community. Their prime role is to provide a Search & Rescue service in upland or mountainous areas. However, the Teams are increasingly calling upon to undertake searches for missing people in lowland areas.

Many of my walks are taking place in this area, hopefully I wont need them - but one never knows!
