Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi everyone my name is Diane Noles or Diane Rocks to my Flickr friends. I am a breast cancer survivor of 9 years.

I have decided to jump out of a plane at 14,500 feet strapped to a handsome man (with a bit of luck) and plummet to earth all in the name of charity :-)

The other day my friend popped round for a brew and a chat, he has just had an op to remove a testicle, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer last week age 28. I am happy to say that they have caught it early, it's not in his blood or ct scan and was grade 1 so all looks good. I was sharing some of my experience with him and as we were deep in conversation I suddendly saw us jumping out of a plane. So I said "let's jump out of a plane for charity Ozy!" He beamed and said "Hell Yeah,Lets Do It"

Cancer made me take stock of my life and to see what was important to me. LOVE.......Love of family.......Love of friends.....Love of Music......Love of Photography........Love of life.........I appreciate each day, cliche I know but true. I was very fortunate to have the love and support of family, friends and Breast Cancer Specialists.

Although I feel that Cancer has awakened me in lots of ways, I also know the feeling of fear that grips you like a vice, the darkness that surrounds you in the early days. When Chemo swallows you up, hair falls on the bathroom floor, when your head is sweating under the wig in the sun and itching like hell. There are days when you don't want to be brave, when you want to scream and cry and not direct it at your loved ones. That's when talking to someone from Breast Cancer Care helps.Talking with other people going through the same as you really helps, laughing till you cry. Having support :-) when you need it the most.

I am paying for my jump so that all money raised goes straight to Breast Cancer Care and not for my jump.

Please give generously and help me "Pay it forward"

I am dedicating my jump to three beautiful women

Mrs Julia Herbert

Mrs Doreen Handcock

Mrs Margaret Unsworth
