Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Saturday, 19 March I will be hiking up to the top of The Old Man of Coniston with some special colleagues from Coutts in support of our chosen charity for 2016 - Carers UK.  This is a hike of 2,634 feet or 803m to the top but however it is measured it is a long way for me!

My Mum needs 24/7 care by qualified Carers in a Nursing Home so I know how dedicated a Carer needs to be and for people who care for family members at home the commitment and emotional strength this needs is enormous.  Because  it is so intense it can also be quite isolating.  Carers UK provides a support network and practical help both during and after the care period and are a much needed place for people  in the community to turn to.

Any amount you are able to give will go directly to the charity and will help them help others.

Thank you so much for your generosity.
