This year I'll be doing the London Marathon in aid of CAFOD. It'll be the fifth time I've done the race but this time I want to make it count beyond the time and the great day out I have with my friends - I want to have a GRAND day out and will be counting on you to help me raise at least £1000 for CAFOD.

Unfortunately there have already been terrible disasters this year, and CAFOD has been involved in relief work for these, but it's work doesn't stop there. It works to help the poorest communities support themselves, to tackling the causes of inequality and to raising awareness of development issues abroad here in the UK. For example, nearly 4000 children die because of lack of clean water each day, that's nearly 3 each minute, a sobering thought as I'll be drinking quite a lot during the race.

So please help me and CAFOD have a GRAND day out and give as much as you can.
