My story

Please give generously to The East Cheshire Hospice in Dimitri's name. This was the wonderful place where Dimitri died on April 4th 2010. He had fought a long and brave battle against his terrible Cancer. He never gave up hope but it was just too strong in the end. The Hospice took good care of Dimitri for the last 6 weeks of his life. Their care was totally free of charge. It was humbling to receive such incredible help and love at the time when we needed it most.

Since Dimitri died I have become a fundraiser for the Hospice which includes speaking at and doing the Midnight Walk on June 30th, and helping to organise and promote the Macc Half Marathon and 5K in aid of the Hospice on Sept 30th. If you would like to help me to help them please donate on this just giving page, or send the Hospice a cheque directly. Thank you very, very much!! xxx

East Cheshire Hospice

Charity Registration No. 515104

The hospice’s services are free but we receive less than 23% of our annual costs from government and so have to fundraise almost £6,000 every single day of the year to make ends meet. Our friends in the community are a central part of the team which together provides a crucial local service.
