Story

Hello guys,

First of all, thanks for visiting the page, and taking the time to make an invaluable donation to the Kianh Foundation Charity.

I am raising money,by doing a 10 K run, for this charity, because the plight of the Vietnamese people, suffering from Agent Orange contamination and alike war time effects, is a cause very close to my heart. And consequently our humble contribution, nevertheless how small, will help to change the lives of people who are still facing the repercussions due to nearly four decades of war.

The Kianh Foundation Charity supports orphaned children, in Hoi An, a city in central Vietnam, who are in desperate need to regain control over their present conditions and look forward towards a prosperous future. Also, thirty-seven of the children in the Hoi An orphanage suffer from disabilities, such as Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Hydrocephalus,Cleft Palates, and Agent Orange related disablities.

The orphanage is run by the Vietnamese government per se, and Kianh Foundation Charity is a small UK based charity working in conjunction with it. If you are wondering how your money is going to be used, a breakdown cost of the orphanage's financial needs are given below:

MINIMUM MONTHLY STAFF COSTS

2 Physiotherapists - US$ 278 ($139 each)
1 Physiotherapist (trainee) - US$ 119
4 Special Education teachers* - US$ 142 (1 at $50, 1 at $42 and 2 at $25)
