This year I’ve decided to take on the challenge of a 10 km run. Please help me stay motivated by helping me raise money for Amasango! (Please take a look at http://www.amasango.org.uk/)
Amasango is a very special school in a Grahamstown, South Africa that provides the only opportunity for free education for the many street children in the town. A friend of mine who is deeply involved with the school and charity told me about the courage of these kids which really inspired me - so I’d really like to do my bit to help them get a second chance in life!
The school is really struggling for cash at the moment as the global recession squeezes everyone's wallets. The headmistress says they've not been able to provide clothes to any of the kids who've joined the school this year so they're still coming to school in their rags from the streets! Surely we can do better than that! It's going into winter now and these kids need some proper clothes!
