It works to relieve and prevent this treatable condition by providing information, support and understanding to those who are affected by it. It also campaigns to raise awareness amongst the general public about the realities of depression.

Hi Dinukshi,

We are proud of your mission, not only taking part in the NY marathon, which is only a dream of many and also raising the funds for a worthy cause. Keep it up!! Hope you will have an enjoyable run & a lovely time in The Big Apple.

Hi Guys

Yes- it's true- I'm going to run the NY marathon this year!

It seems fate/destiny/drunken web surfing has brought me to a point of no return and I'm taking on the 42km of hilly hell that is THE New York Marathon.

While running and completing the course will be rewarding enough- I thought it would be a good idea to raise some funds for a worthy cause and my choice is Depression Alliance. Depression will effect 1 in 5 of us at some point in our lives; it involves everyone either directly or indirectly, through our friends and our family.

I'm hoping you will support me and my chosen charity and that running for a great cause will give me that extra push to make the finish line.

I'll be sending you running updates---- you've been fore warned!
