Story

Update 20th April - Well I made it to the finish at Brighton on Sunday!!! 5 hours 43 minutes. Lost a toe nail and gained a mahoosive blister at mile 19. Ran the last six miles in my socks!! It was an AMAZING day. Thank you all for your support :) :)

Update!! I have been featured in the (27th February) weekly 'Edinburgh Marathon newsletter' which is distributed to 40,000 people :)  http://www.edinburgh-marathon.com/e-newsletter/2010_11.php

As many of you know, I am a Midwife working in a busy Maternity Unit at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath.

I have never raised money for charity through my running before, but I have decided that I would like to raise some much needed funds for the Hospital to be used to purchase some new equipment - what we are able to buy will depend on how much is raised.

So this Spring, I will be running a marathon double: the Brighton Marathon on 18th April and the Edinburgh Marathon on 23rd May.

To make things more challenging, I will be running Brighton dressed as a Greek Goddess - as per the photo on the left !!!

If you are on Facebook, I have created a group where you can follow my progress in the lead up to the races... search for "Dionne's Double" and join the group! :) :)

I would be really grateful if you would consider sponsoring me and donating through this page. The funds raise will be so gratefully received.

Thank you!
