We offer hope to families to transform the lives of sick children

Story

On May 11th the DCM Dirty Charity Muckers consisting of  Steve, Amy, Roxy, Michelle, Ana, Claire, Liisa, Jen, Andy, Tom, Tim, Gary, Lee, Ed, Matt, Joe and Alex will all be doing something really quite stupid, "The Rat Race Half Mucker"

Some may say that running 13 miles is already foolish, but running 13 miles and having to contend with 150 obstacles ridiculous!

Running 13 miles, 150 obstacles on what will probably be a hot May Day running/crawling through, woods, lakes, mud  not forgetting the 150 obstacles,  pure lunacy!

However we are not completely without reason,  we are undertaking this horrendous, no doubt painful but hopefully slightly  fun task for a very, very worthwhile cause.  Us DCM'ers  are going to give our legs a literal battering in order to give Johnny a chance to get up on to his feet!

Johnny Pantry is  little boy who needs our help. He is 5 years old and loves all the things boys of his age do, swimming, cycling and eating sausages. However Johnny has cerebral palsy and without our help his chances of walking are going to be greatly diminished.

His mum and dad continue to fight for him to get the latest in medical care. They have found a surgeon in the states who could operate on Johnny to prolong his standard of life.

The cost of the surgery and intensive phyiso for 2 years is £70k. This is a scary amount of money but if we all pitching in raise a little something we can make a real difference to Johnny and his families lives.

Thank you
