First of all - a big "THANK YOU" for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Along with a few work colleagues , I am taking up the challenge of ascending not one but three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire on Saturday 22nd August 2015..

We aim to complete the course in 12 hours  and will be covering a distance of about 24 miles. I have never stretched myself to such limits before but the thought of being able to help those who have been struck with cancer will keep me going.

I am sure that you are aware of the devastating consequences that cancer may have on someone's life.Macmillan have been very active in providing a framework of continuous support for those affected as well as their families. 

For the past two years, Macmillan has been the chosen charity of National Grid and 100% of the funds that we are raising will go directly towards providing emergency fuel grants. These grants will help those cancer patients who cannot afford to pay their energy bills and have no other choice than to turn off their heating during the cold winter months. With your support, some of them will not have to! 

National Grid has also pledged to match all the donations received and I would be really grateful if you could donate whatever you can afford to this great cause. Even if you cannot donate much, your words of encouragement will be much appreciated.
