Story
The 31 of March this year will be the fifth anniversary of my beautiful mum’s death. Anybody who knew her will know she sure as hell put up a good fight against cancer, and even on her final day she was putting her thumbs up and smiling.
Every year my family and I dread this day. It reminds us all of what an amazing lady we’re missing. So this year, I want to do something that will make both my mum and the rest of my family laugh…I’m going to be quiet.
Yes, you heard it right. I, Emma Jones, will be keeping my mouth shut for a FULL 24 hours (unless I snore) because I know that my mum and everybody who knows me wont believe for a second that I can be silent for 5 minutes, let alone a day!
This is where you come in. I want your help in supporting St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford, who made my mum so relaxed when she visited them. They are largely charity-run, and it costs them £6,425 a day to stay open, so they depend on us kind folk to help them out.
Please, please donate anything you can. I want to make this anniversary one to remember for all the right reasons.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
