It's known as the 999 ride for Cancer Research - riding over 900 miles through 9 countries in 9 days - from Winchester to Venice. We have three days in the Alps and climb through the Stelvio pass which at almost 2800 meters is one of the highest passes in Europe. This takes us to almost three time the height of Snowdon !  Will we make it ? either of us know for sure but we'll give it a go, along with 30 other riders on the team.

Dom says: Is it possible? I cannot say. I cannot promise I will make it home. One thing is a given. Mike will make it. A true bastion of hard work, a man whos semi robotronic legs pump away mile after gruelling mile, yes mike will do you proud. 

For me the task is somewhat more daunting. The prospect of 9 consecutive 100 mile rides is something I would of considered impossible only 6 months ago. Yet here I am, with under a month until we leave. I have sacrificed many lie-ins to get to this moment and I have personally observed Mike limit his diet to balsamic vineger and seeds for over a year. We both want to be in tip top condition to suppport this very worthwhile cause.

Cancer affects us all, please give generously. All the costs for our trip are either paid directly by us or some elements are paid by generous sponsors, so every penny raised goes directly to Cancer Research.
