Story

Latest update on Baby Heart Ball: Over 130 people attended the Ball last Saturday and I am pleased to report the we were able to raise a significant amount for a worthy cause whilst having a great time to boot. I have heard rumours of lost shoes, abandoned raffle money and even a grown man crying on the dancefloor unable to contain himself on what was a very emotional night - clear evidence that a fun night was had by all!!

I would particularly like to thank all those who decorated the hall, provided provisions and those who helped with the providing of fantastic raffle prizes and the selling of tickets. To top this off the letter we recieved from Dominic's check up at the Brompton in February said he was now effectively 'a normal little boy'!!! If anyone has any photos can they please email them to me at babyheartball@hotmail.co.uk as I would love to add some pics here.

Thank you for visiting Dominic's page.

Dominic was born with transposition of the great arteries (TGA) and wasn't diagnosed until 5 weeks. He underwent 2 heart operations and was in intensive care for 7 weeks.

Due to the fantastic skill of the surgeons and the wonderful care of the staff at the Royal Brompton, Dominic is now approaching his first birthday and is a very happy lively little boy and we wanted to do something to give a little back to those who helped us at a very difficult time. If, through your generosity, we can make it a little bit better for the babies and children passing through their doors in the near future, that would be a wonderful thing!!!

Thank you very much - Karen, Tim, Kate and Dominic. xxxx
