My story

OFFICIAL FINISH TIME 03:58:37

On April 22nd I will be running in the London Marathon for the first time, to raise money for a very worth while charity, Engineers Against Poverty.

Foreign aid and international relief efforts cannot alone tackle poverty, only through the development of a sustainable private sector can poverty be truly overcome.  With the engineering sector assisting with the extraction of resources and construction of infrastructure it forms the cornerstone for a prosperous economy.  Engineers Against Poverty work with industry, government and civil society to promote sustainable development.

I will be running as part of the AMEC team and for every £1 donated by you AMEC will generously match it with another £1!  AMEC are an international engineering company in the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors with a true vision for social, environmental and economic sustainability in the countries it operates.  AMEC are also great supporters of Engineers Against Poverty.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe and are not shared with third parties. JustGiving will ensure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Your support will help to ensure a prosperous global future and very sore legs on April 23.

Thank you very much.

Dominic
