It may come as a surprise to many of you reading this, that I'm not a natural athlete. On September 13th I will be embarking on an Alcatraz triathlon. This consists of a 1.5 mile swim from Alcatraz, (managing the currents and trying not to get my legs bitten off by sharks). I will then cycle 15km's followed by a 10km run. It's a big ask especially as 3 months ago I was struggling to do a couple of lengths in my local pool and gasping for breath. Anyway after some coaching, I rashly put my name down for this race.

I'm raising money for the NSPCC which is an excellent charity and I would really appreciate your sponsorship. I have set myself a target of GBP10,000. If you would like to know more about the NSPCC and the work they do, please have a look at their link to the left hand side of this page.
