I love cycling, and mountain biking in particular.  A while back my father suffered a series of small strokes.  Things weren't looking good, until a pacemaker was fitted.  It made him a new man, even though in his eighties.  Soon after, my father-in-law also received a pacemaker, which has helped with his circulation and managing his diabetes.  So I am raising money for any necessary and valuable research into how to prevent, fight and manage heart disease  because heart related issues are so very common and affect very many people.  Perhaps in the future this will not be the case, but research is expensive and must go on.  Doing what I love to raise money for a good cause: it's a no-brainer!
