Thank you for visiting mine and Steve's Justgiving page.
On Saturday 2nd July Steve and I are going to do a fire walk to raise money for Resources for Autism.
RfA is a charity that supports children and adults with Autistic Spectrum Condition (this includes Aspergers) and their families to lead full, active and enriched lives in their local communities.
RfA offers holiday and playschemes, social groups, activity focused groups (art, drama etc...), trips out (I'm off the Tate Modern in June with an adult art group that I run), Reachout services (in the home/community) and therepeutic services, such as Music and Art Therapy. There are so many more services that are desperately wanted and needed, but sadly this means money!
Steve and I have a joint target of £500, so every penny counts if we are going to achieve this by 2nd July. If you want to learn more about firewalking, please follow this link: http://www.blazefirewalking.com/index.html
If you could spare a penny, a pound or even some paper (not A4!), then we would really appreciate it. We really will be walking over hot coals to get some money for this very worthy cause, so please give anything that you can. Feel free to come along to the event and support/laugh/taunt! It's on Saturday 2nd July at roughly 10pm (it has to be dark so that it can be seen that the coal is raked evenly to prevent us scolding our feet!) and will be in North London, probably Barnet. If you are interested in coming along then let me know and I'll confirm the location closer to the time.
You can either donate online via the justgiving website or contact me at dom@resourcesforautism.org.uk or via mine/Steve's mobile and we can fill out our paper sponsor form for you (for those of you who aren't big on the technology front!).
Thank you. Dom and Steve x
