I am absolutely delighted to be taking part in this year’s STV Appeal. Poverty amongst children is unacceptable in this day in age, so it’s great to be able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause making a difference to the lives of young people across Scotland, including Edinburgh.

I am already gearing up for my own challenge, my first 5km run, and I have total faith in my trainer, Andy, who is helping me build up to the big event. It’s been a long term ambition of mine to participate in a race like this, and doing it on behalf of the STV Appeal gives me a goal to aim for.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get fit at the same time support an outstanding cause. I encourage the public to join in and get involved with their own active fundraiser.
